May 16, 2011 MSNBC I really hope Ron Paul becomes the republican candidate, the 2012 debates will be epic then , Ron Paul 2012, he's going back to 1776.Ron Paul can win as a Republican, If he runs as an Independent he won't win because we have a two party system. Ron Paul is an American who studies and understands the World. He has common sense, as we all do. Democrat & Republican is just a label.

The title of this piece is a misquote. Ron Paul said cutting food stamps for the poor is *not* the right priority. And instead we should be focusing on cutting overseas military spending.
