Peter Schiff talked about the crisis in the U.S. economy. He focused on spending that he argued was the real cause of the economic problems and that the stimulus programs could not solve it. He also talked about his exploratory committee for a campaign for the U.S. Senate seat from Connecticut currently held by Sen. Chris Dodd. He announced a fundraiser after his presentation in his hotel room.
Peter Schiff is the author of Crash-Proof: How to Profit From the Coming Economic Collapse, and the second edition, Crash Proof 2.0: How to Profit From the Economic Collapse, both published by Wiley.
"The Collapse of the U.S. Bubble Economy and What It Means for Investors" was an 10:30 a.m. PT Friday general session of FreedomFest 2009, which was held July 9-11, 2009, at Bally's Events Center in Las Vegas.
