Sen Chris Dodd has fallen behind his Republican challenger by 10 points according to a new poll

In the latest Rasmusssen Reports survey, Dodd drew the support of 39 percent of respondents, well behind his main Republican challenger Rob Simmons who attracted 49 percent. 6 percent said they weren't sure who they'd vote for in next year's election, while 5 percent said they'd prefer another candidate.

Simmons is Dodd's main Republican challenger but there are other Republicans interested in his Senate seat including state Sen. Sam Caligiuri, former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland Tom Foley, and our hero Economist Peter Schiff President of the brokerage firm Euro Pacific Capital. All three are essentially even with Dodd when matched up against him. Peter said in his latest Video Blog (Click here to watch it ) from Poland where he is now that he will make an official announcement on whether he will run for Dodd's Senate seat in these coming elections or not , the official announcement will be made next week during the Morning Joe on MSNBC
