Peter Schiff Radio - Atlas Shrugged Part 1 Movie Producer Harmon Kaslow , no major Hollywood studio wanted to produce this movie , Atlas Shrugged Part 1 opens in theaters April 15th, 2011.
Atlas Shrugged, the Movie, has yet to be released. Therefore I cannot pass judgment on whether it is all I hope it will be.
But the novel has been in print for a half-century now, and the central concept set forth in it, that all human interaction ought to be voluntary and non-coercive, remains irrefutable.
I can only hope that the film lives up to expectations, and successfully underscores this central concept.
2969 people are did not realize that a combination of laissez faire capitalism AND bad government brought this world to it knees. The truth lies somewhere between the extremes of Rand and Marx. Where people can turn a profit and the government ensure safety of the people, Human self-interest needs to be checked when it overtakes the self-interests of others.

"human interaction ought to be voluntary and non-coercive."
ReplyDeleteThe United States government does not seem to believe in it. It's a super power militarily and supposedly economically as well (with 40 millions living under the poverty line.) But it so happens that its domestic and foreign policies are nothing but coercive and definitely voluntary.
